YIKES!!!! Squirrels found my red onion bulbs and deflowered one of my bell pepper plants. The WAR is on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nasty little varmints!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will post the evidence later
If you find a method that works, please pass it along. We've had an apricot tree for many years. Every year it sets literally hundreds of apricots. We MAY get one or two that the little buggers overlook.
What we've tried:
Bird netting - squirrels find their way underneath it. Pitbulls - they lack the attention span to watch all day. Chemical repellents - the squirrels consider them condiments.
The thing that really smokes my tomatoes is that they chew open the green apricots, eat the seed, and throw the rest away!
